Modes of Stasis (progression) (2019/2020), was written for the Glasgow Percussion collective + additional musicians.

It was originally intended to be premiered at the PLUG Festival on the 6th May 2020, but was postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Modes of Stasis (progression) has a bespoke percussion instrumentation consisting of instruments from GPC leader Steve Foreman's percussion collection.

3 alto saxohpne (1 doubling baritone saxophone)

1 electric guitar

4 percussion

percussion 1: cone chimes/tubular glockenspiel

percussion 2: spoke tree/marimba

percussion 3: vibraphone/inverted dish bells

percussion 4: various resonant metal bowls
